Flutter

Flutter (2024) sonically explores the titular verb through a multitude of lenses: the metaphorical fluttering of one's heart when seeing a person they love; the feeling of excitement or nervousness in one's stomach during an intense situation; and the gesture of the wings of a butterfly. The tenor saxophone and horn flutter musically together and apart, chasing and echoing, debating and conversing throughout the piece.
