Alchemy

Alchemy (2026) for orchestra explores transformation, experimentation, and wonder. Inspired by the theoretical transmutation of base metals into gold, Alchemy whisks a three-note motive into unexpected forms, glistening with metallic timbres and bristling with swirling energy. The piece features each section of the orchestra as unique materials in the metaphorical cauldron, highlighting their distinctive characteristics while testing how they might merge into shiny new elements.
